Thermostat reading 5 degrees below actual temperature, this thermostat has no ability to calibrate, recommend replacing as this will impact cooling performance in the summer. Heater working properly for size, can increase to help heat better. If Heat kit is changed out we will need to also replace breaker to larger size. During extreme cold weather heater was working but at a reduced capacity making it appear as though it was not performing.

Inspection: Outdoor unit is 8 years old, running R-22(old) refrigerant. Indoor unit is 15 years old. System pressures indicate an overcharge of refrigerant. System is achieving an 18 degree temperature split. Indoor unit has rust on evaporator coil, and the case of the air handler. There is rust on the knuckles of the coil and drain ports Due to the rust on the evaporator coil, leaks could form. The indoor equipment does have a float switch installed. There are water stains on the wood starting at the supply plenum and running the length of the supply plenum and spreading past all sides. This can be caused by coils freezing, drain lines clogging, and/or failed supply plenum insulation. Ductwork is in overall good condition, some ducts are sagging or pinching, potentially restricting airflow. Lineset insulation on outdoor unit is failing. Outdoor unit coil is showing signs of wear from the salt air, becoming brittle and flaking off. Recommendations: we recommend replacing the indoor un

Customer was interested in pricing on replacing ductwork & drain pan, gave him a ball park and explained it is more cost effective to have this done during the winter. He is going to toss around the idea and will either schedule for this summer or this winter.

Ac repair: common line from capacitor to contactor was charred and severed from the capacitor. Capacitor was burned and damaged. Recommend replacing unit due to age. Replaced common wire to contactor and replaced capacitor for the compressor. System is cooling with a 17 degree the.perature split. Compressor amp draws and ohm readings are in range.
